Incoloy Alloy is a high-temperature nickel-chromium-silicon alloy developed to provide outstanding corrosion and heat resistance in a wide range of extreme environments. It is highly resistant to stress corrosion cracking, pitting and crevice corrosion. Incoloy Alloy also has excellent mechanical properties which makes it suitable for use in applications requiring high strength and toughness. It has a specific heat capacity of 470-500 J/kg-K, a hardness of 150-200 HB, a tensile strength of 550-900 MPa, and an electrical resistivity of 1.2-1.4 μΩ-m. This combination of properties makes Incoloy Alloy an excellent choice for applications with extreme thermal and chemical requirements. It is often used in the production of nuclear fuel elements, chemical and petrochemical equipment, and as a cladding for nuclear fuel rods.
