1. Introduction
One of the characteristics of stainless steel forging process is low plasticity. The plasticity of stainless steel increases with the increase of temperature surface, decreases with the decrease of temperature, especially martensitic stainless steel is particularly obvious. Heating should be uniform to avoid uneven deformation and cracking. When forging this type of steel, the deformation degree should be less than 60%, and the tool used must be preheated to 200~250℃. When forging stainless steel ingot, it should be first hit fast forging, and then gradually hit forging through, timely remove surface cracks.
